DRAGON QUEST Series Creator Yuji Horii to Attend Anime Expo 2018
What You Need to Know:
- Creator of the legendary DRAGON QUEST series, Yuji Horii, will be attending Anime Expo 2018, the largest anime convention in North America. He will be participating in autograph sessions at the SQUARE ENIX Booth throughout the weekend.
- The autograph tickets will be distributed at the DRAGON QUEST area of the SQUARE ENIX booth starting 10:00 a.m. of the day prior to each session. Lucky attendees who receive a ticket will be able to receive an autograph on an exclusive 8x10” signing card prepared by SQUARE ENIX and a photograph with the creator*. As a note* Fans may pose with Yuji Horii for one photograph. Signatures will be limited to a signing card prepared by SQUARE ENIX and he will not be signing personal items.
- Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to get hands on time with DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, prior to its release on September 4. The playable demo features two separate areas of the game: Cobblestone, where the Hero’s journey begins, and Gallopolis, where you can participate in horse racing, battle the menacing Slayer of the Sands and more.
- Attendees are also invited to obtain a variety of DRAGON QUEST XI giveaways, including t-shirts and double-sided posters, while supplies last. Fans can also tune in for a special DRAGON QUEST XI livestream featuring Yuji Horii and the development team on Friday, July 6 at 7:00 p.m. Viewers will have the chance to ask questions live and win prizes throughout the stream at https://www.twitch.tv/squareenix. - Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired exclusive distribution rights to 100 Sleeping Princes & the Kingdom of Dreams, a Summer 2018 Simulcast season title, based off the popular mobile game of the same name, for USA, Canada, South America, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland and other regions.
- Enter the mysterious Dream World, where a newly-crowned royal soon learns of an insatiable evil, the yumekui, feeding upon the energy and dreams of sleeping princes who are then unable to awaken. The brave monarch must save them and their world from the dream eater!
- 100 Sleeping Princes & the Kingdom of Dreams features the voice talents of Kenichi Suzumura (Ajin, Maid Sama!, Mr. Osomatu) as Avi, Daiki Yamashita (Anonymous Noise, Food Wars! The Second Plate, My Hero Academia) as Navi and Haruka Kimura (Kurenai, The Slayers Revolution) as the princess.

Bloodstained E3 Demo Available Now for Select Backers via Kickstarter!
What You Need to Know:
- Despite all the wild and crazy action that was E3 has come and come, in the wake of it all there are still some announcements that may entice you. One of them is the highly-anticipated Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a game that was showcased at E3 and now a demo is officially available to those who backed the game via Kickstarter.
- This imaginative, side-scrolling game is the latest opus from the renowned Koji Igarashi, godfather of the “Igavania” genre of gothic, exploration-focused action platformers. Initially revealed on Kickstarter with a goal of $500,00 USD, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night went on to become one of the most funded games on the platform, with more than $5.5 million pledged by fans eager for its creation. Set in the late 18th century England, an era when people’s lives changed dramatically with the ushering in of the Industrial Revolution, Bloodstained tells the story of Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist’s demonic curse, which is slowly turning her skin to crystal. As the curse matures, Miriam drifts into a mysterious coma and awakens ten years later as a castle appears, and Hell is resurrected. Now, she must travel to the castle to hunt and kill its summoner, Gebel, battling his demons as she searches for a way to stop the curse.
- The new demo highlights fresh enemies, gameplay features, characters and more while diving deeper into the game’s narrative and quests. Bloodstained is an action-adventure side scroller from legendary game developer Koji Igarashi that follows Miriam as she traverses a daunting castle in search of the mysterious alchemist, Gebel.
